Over the past 40 years our group of companies has concentrated its focus on the mine supply, fabrication and engineering field throughout Southern Africa. Within our Group the collective experience in these industries spans well over 100 years. The senior members of our management team have been involved in introducing many firsts to the South African Mining industry and are renowned for their innovative approach to problem solving. This experience has been gained mainly through our sister companies Krew Ventilation (mine ventilation pipes) and Klep Valves (diaphragm and gate valves) and for the past 15 years with Spirotech International (Pty) Ltd. Through these companies, we have been awarded supply contracts by most of the major mining houses in South Africa. In 1996 Spirotech added a new range of products to its portfolio being the Shaftless Screw Conveyor. Due to the success of this product Spirotech now specialises in supplying turnkey solutions to materials handling problems with the main emphasis on the Shaftless Screw Conveyor systems. At Spirotech materials handling we design, manufacture and install materials handling systems for most industries and are the true experts in getting the job done efficiently.
With all the 40 years of experience in mining ventilation ducting through Krew Ventilation and with the gradual decline in the use of galvanized steel ventilation our PVC ducting and hoses division was born. Being one of the leaders in Ventilation ducting for so many years this was the natural progression, and now we are able to provide top quality PVC ducting for really completive pricing for many different applications in the market. We also recently have been actively engaged in the marketing of woven polypropylene fabrics to the mining industry. Our activities have been concentrated on the backfilling and underground ventilation curtains. Combining recent developments in the engineering technology of woven geotextiles and practical experiences gained we, can supply a range of fabrics to cater for and services the areas of the mining industry where geotextiles can be used. With regard to future developments we are committed to on-°©‐going investigation and modification of fabrics presently used – this is to provide an improved product and service to the mine.
